Thanks all for responding,

The original .dir files (14 of them) were created in D6.5 and saved and
compressed in D8. I re-checked the file for the movie that the stub
projector opens and found some xtras that weren't checked off, which I did
then created the .dcr movie. This now works fine. It also works fine in
authoring mode I also rechecked all the other movies for unchecked xtras
that this .dcr movie feeds off to, but I get the same alert when going to
all of these movies.

I guess my next move is to start from scratch with all the other 14 movies
as well.

Oh well there's another week shot to hell..........

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.
