I've used the Audio Xtra (www.updatestage.com), and it's real dependable 
for recording audio.

I'm not sure how you want it to affect the blend of a sprite, though. 
Amplitude? Frequency? A bit more detail on your problem?

You can extract amplitude and frequency from the wave form, but it takes 
some pretty heavy duty math (a Fast Fourier Transform). I suspect that 
Lingo may not respond fast enough to do the math *and* change the blend of 
a sprite on the fly, except on a pretty fast machine. I haven't used the 
asFFT Xtra, but if it's overwhelming, it will probably be even more so in 
Lingo.
