Is there anything else happening on screen? Particularly something being
animated or moving underneath the movie? (even something invisible)

Subject: <lingo-l> Quicktime movie sound track stutters only on certain
systems

Hello List,

We've begun limited distribution on a recent CD-ROM project that contains
many quicktime movies. The movies play fine on most computers, even lower
end models. But occasionally we've had users tell us that the verbal audio
in the movies is almost indiscernible due to the stuttering and skipping
even on a higher end system. Below is information for the sound track of two
of the movies.
<Movie1>
Sample Rate: 22.05 kHz
Channels: Stereo
Sample Size: 16 bits
Compression: IMA4:1
Data Size: 2.5 MB
Data Rate: 22.8 k bytes/sec

<Movie2>
Sample Rate: 22.05 kHz
Channels: Mono
Sample Size: 16 bits
Compression: None
Data Size: 8.8 MB
Data Rate:43.0 k bytes/sec

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments,
Gene Fritzinger
