Maybe the phase of the moon.
Just a wild guess, but I take it you're in Sweden. Is the client running on
a Swedish or English system? If he's running on, say, a central European
system like Czech or Polish, it could be a code page problem.
Which version of Director are you using? D7 was a complete rewrite, and
they didn't implement code pages other than 1252 (Latin 1) very well.
