Hi all,

Many of you have probably seen or heard about the news of a
collaborative effort between Intel and Macromedia to add 3D Graphics
technology to the Shockwave Player. A press release that covers this
effort was sent out last July -- for more detail, it can be viewed at:

<http://www.macromedia.com/macromedia/proom/pr/2000/index_intel.fhtml>

We are proud to unveil a Preview Release of the results of this
collaborative effort: Shockwave 3D! With this great new technology
built into the Shockwave Player, we are poised to open up vast
creative possibilities for Shockwave developers. Additionally, with
almost 200 million web users (worldwide) capable of viewing Shockwave
content, we are very excited to bring immersive, interactive 3D to
the mainsteam web world.

We have put together a site that provides the installers for the
Shockwave 3D Preview Release, an important 3D Rendering Test movie,
fun content showing off some of the new capabilities, a list of
frequently asked questions, as well as information regarding 3D
graphics cards and system requirements.

Note for Windows 2000 users using Netscape: we have found that some
of the movies cause the browser to be unresponsive to events. If you
experience problems, we recommend using Internet Explorer.

To access the aforementioned site, please proceed to:

Please use the provided form to submit your feedback.

Thanks and enjoy!
