I think that's the same logic used by willing supporters of virually all
immoral leaders, even as they watched the offenses transpire. I'm
sorry, I don't mean to politicize this discussion thread, and I don't
mean to imply that you or your husband are in the same league as
history's worst. I'm sure you're very nice, honest, hard-working
people. I just think your husband should find another job.
I do suggest, further, that Microsoft has done the entire computing
industry a grave injustice by foisting some of the most incompetent and
incomplete software ever written on the public as serious commercial
products. The sad part is that most people don't realize how much
they've been duped...or how much better it could have been without
Microsoft screwing everything up. Their inexcusable failure to deal
with security holes throughout their software has directly contributed
to the frequent and severe virus scares throughout the Internet. The
Windows operating system itself is laughable. And what they have done
to suppress competition -- companies who's product could have made a
significant contribution to the industry -- is criminal. I was once a
Microsoft fan/user, but then I discovered the Macintosh...and real
software from Adobe, Macromedia, etc. Now I bleed in six colors. (Does
anyone still know what that phrase means today?)
Microsoft should be cut apart and sold for scrap. Their general
officers should be barred from investing in any company for ten years.
The DOJ should show no mercy.
