Hey Colin, are you sure he's imprsonating? I bet he secretly works for The
Goverment and just wants us to BELIEVE that he's joking, when all the time
he's washing our brains? ;>
But seriously, I just followed the link to the shockwave 3d site, and while
I didn't have time to check out all the demos (gotta pretend I'm working!),
what I saw was pretty amazing. But how did they DO it? I know you're
supposed to be able to do all sorts of 3d effects with quads and imaging
lingo, but that looked REAL.

I couldn't even get it to work at all with open GL. But my graphics drivers
are pretty old fashioned (also I'm using 2 monitors on a pc, and I hear that
Open Gl doesn't like that very much. Is that true?). I couldn't figure out
why some of the things weren't working at first, but then I noticed the
context menu - you can actually change the display type, like OGL, Direct X,
and Software. The only thing that worked on my old bucket of a computer was
the Software mode. It looked great though, even on my computer.
But how did they DO that?
Amazed and Perplexed,
Karina
