Hi,

This is though not the exact reply and answer to the
question posted, is a workaround for forgotten or
missing xtras that we always came across.

When we install Macromedia Director, the software is
smart to check into its own xtra folder (which is
usually at %programfilesdir%\macromedia\director
v.x\xtras, so if you are creating your dir files
somewhere or any part of your HDD, the xtras you have
used will be traced back by director in its xtra
folder.

To solve this problem of remembering xtras used,
rather a workaround or a stunt and not a solution, is
------->
Step No. 1
Install Macromedia Director as usual.

Step No. 2
Copy the whole of Macromedia Director installed folder
from your %programfilesdir% to someplace else.

Step No. 3
Uninstall Macromedia Director, gulp.

Step No. 4
Copy back that copied Macromedia Director folders back
into place.
Launch Director as usual.
Nect time even if you are testing the dir files even
in the authoring mode, it will ask for the xtra
folder, so rectify and put the xtras so need then and
there where it should ship during deployment.

I am doing this stunt, because Director launches, as
far to my knowledge, its initialization files along
with the director executable and not by the Operating
System.

Any raves and rants would be appreciated.

Regards
Brajeshwar
