Can be done both ways, & with the fullscreen or windowed projector options.
I believe the key words to search for at DOUG are Non-Rectangular MIAW (may
not be hyphenated).
The basics:
window(someWindow).windowType = member("1bit")
Only works in projector mode. You won't be able to see it during authoring.
