I am using director 8 and I want to use lingo to create vector graphic cast
members.
I have looked around the help and a couple of books and come across a number
of features that look like they'll do the job but I can't quite understand
them totally. I am looking at addvertex, curve[n], handle1 and handle2 and I
wonderered if anyone could help
1) Can I use the curve[n] notation in the addvertex command. So far I can't
make it work but I'm not sure if I've got the syntax right e.g.
member("a").curve[2].addvertex(1,point(100.0,100.0))
2) If I can't use the .curve[n] notation is there an easy way to find the
absolute vertex number for a relative curvenumber in a curve
3) How does the handle1 and handle2 work. I understand that the direction
relative to the vertex gives the tangent at that point. Also that if the
length of the vector is 0 changes in slope take place immediatedly without
smoothing. But I don't understand how the magnitude of the handle vector is
mathematically linked to the way the curve is drawn.
Thanks in anticipation
Peter
