What do You mean bvy "write". I You want to do MIDI You can use Logic Rocket
which is freely downloadable from
http://maccentral.macworld.com/news/0003/31.logic.shtml
It's made for collaborative MIDI work over TCP/IP but can just as well be
used stand alone.
If you wanna do audio, PeakLE that came with Your Director Installation is a
goodie.
