This note clarifies the PDF Xtra and Acrobat 5.0 situation (thanks to all for the testing details). While great pain has gone in ensuring maximum forward compatibility between PDF Xtra 1.0 and all other required software, significant unforeseen changes in Acrobat 5.0 on both Mac and Windows prevent complete and transparent compatibility without reworking parts of PDF Xtra from the ground up - hence PDF Xtra 2 and the current development cycle. At this point, we have found no quick method to effectively "patch" PDF Xtra 1 to consistently work with the revamped Acrobat 5.0 We have published workarounds for users of PDF Xtra 1 in our Tech notes section. You can find it here: http://www.IntegrationNewMedia.com/products/pdfxtra/tech/technotes/tn022-102 -023.asp This tech note details what you should do in different Acrobat installation scenarios on Mac and Win. We are still looking for a more elegant solution. The PDF Xtra team is working as swiftly as they can, putting in a lot of hard work to get the new PDF Xtra release ready as soon as possible. Beyond Acrobat 5.0 issues resolution, we hope you will enjoy the new features of this next major release of PDF Xtra. PDF Xtra 2 is scheduled to be released early this summer. -INM Technical Support [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo.
