Audio Xtra from updateStage allows you to grab level from the mic input.
Beyond that, the latest version of Audio Xtra does away with the use of MCI
and adds a host of other very cool features for working w/audio.

I need to find an xtra that can register the input sound from a microphone,
and display how strong the signal is...
It�s ment to be used in factorys to see how much noice the machine
makes.....
