Hey all
I had asked about the proxyserver stuff a few weeks back, and thanks to some
heads up from both Terry and a few of the macromedia army, I've been told
that Director doesn't do any of the authentication itself but relies on a
browser/shockwave answer for the browser to handle the authentication...and
it's true; when the proxy has authentication off, the app works.
But since that kind of screws me, I'm trying to figure out if any kind of
'hack' can be made to send the authentication to the browser....is it in the
http headers? Is there any way 'round all this?
Also, since I was a dope and my email forwarding on my server got screwed I
may have to re-ask a couple of questions I've asked in the past 2 weeks
specifically the 'incremental download' and 'udp vs tcp/ip' stuff - unless
someone wants to forward me the responses.....
...that is, if anyone ever responds to me (sob).
