1) If the video is sized differently than how you made it, it will have to 
be recalc'd.  If you made a 640x480, then it should be moved to exactly 
800x600 to keep the same aspect ratio.  Anything else (like 780x560) might 
drag it down.  Exact powers of two scale best (320x240 -> 640x480), but 
same aspect ratio scales next best.  Odd sizes can drag it down.

2) Keep your Director frame rate LOW.  The higher your Director frame rate, 
the less time that is available to the video renderer.  This is the biggest 
single mistake people make.  Put your rate down to 4 or 6 fps if you 
can.  The video will still play properly.  The Director frame rate is NOT 
the same as the video frame rate.  In fact, it works against it.  A low 
Director rate will allow for much more cycles for the video.  If you've 
been cranking it to 30 fps, 99fps, or 120fps then you're taking the wrong 
approach.  Move it low, and video will be better.
