I wrote this the other day. My comment of "I don't know and I don't
care" was not meant to be short-tempered, over-the-top, off-putting,
nor was I attempting to scare newbies or put an alarming feel to the
list, and I certainly did not intend to come off as an ogre.
If you re-read that question and my response, I hope you will find
that the original poster asked a question about the internal
implementation of Director - something about how field members are
stored inside Director. To this part, I responded, "I don't know and
I don't care". Which is exactly the correct response. As users of
Director, in general, we should neither know or care about the how
Director represents it's internal data structures. Instead, we
should be concerned about how Director appears to us at the "user"
level.
Further, if you re-read my response, you will find that I also
answered what I assumed the original poster really meant.
In short, I think that you did read my message the wrong way.
