> D8 does not support RealMedia,

Nevertheless, you can play RM in D8. There used to be an RM ActiveX control
for PC and Real Xtra for Mac. Locating them may be a trick, but once you
have them, you're on your own to figure out their use. Luckily it's not too
difficult -- you can see their APIs within Director via the ActiveX dialog &
Message Window. As I remember, they're straightforward enough that you'll be
able to get it to work.

If you have a recent RealMedia SDK, agility in C++, and a chunk of time, you
can convert directly RM->QT programmatically. There is info in the Real SDK
(for Mac, but not PC) on doing this conversion directly. Transcode
technology from companies like Vingage Corporation facilitate these
conversions as well.

If you'd rather do it manually, you should be able to convert indirectly
RM->AVI->QT using tools like RealProducer & QuickTime Pro.

BTW what's 'TLA'?
