Hi

Another option might be to save out your palette, then open the palette and
edit it so that you have black in position 1 of the pallete and white in the
last position (or vise versa - can never remember). Once that has been
completed, save out the palette again. Reopen your non indexed color version
of the image and apply the palette to it in PShop and then import that 8 bit
image into director. The palette should import properly this time, you
should also be able to import the palette directly into Director at this
point as well.

See if that works.

PS. As a usual process, I generally take my 24 or 32 bit image, reduce it to
256 colors, save the palette (but not the image), do the above palette
manipulation, save the palette again. Then revert back in the history list
to the point just prior to applying the palette, then reapply the new
palette. Just my little method of getting the palettes right.
