Thanks for your tremendous reserve, Mark--I admire your will power!
Now that I know about new() :-) and figured out that I can set the
properties of the new member to those of the one I was trying to duplicate,
I should still be worried about memory usage, but I'm reassured by the
earlier responses (including yours) that the number of text members my user
will be creating won't really lead to a crash (and he'll never create any
other type).
