I don't think this is going to make an iota of difference in how fast your
movie runs. I'd look instead at one of the other things you might have done.
Unrelated hint: Put your clearGlobals in your prepareMovie, not your
stopMovie. This will allow you to rerun the program, resetting all globals
at the beginning. By placing it at the end, although it allows you to run
it multiple times, it prevents you from examining the globals after the
movie stops.
If you're thinking of it as a proper way to release globals, don't worry -
Director will clean them up for you.
