All are entitled to individual opinion, but, being English myself, I'd
actually like to _thank_ all the non-native English posters for doing such a
fine job. I can speak German and some French but nowhere near as well as the
non-English guys speak my language.
It's fantastic that so many people can speak English and do, but I am
painfully aware of how many of us (native English) do not learn another
language and many in fact _expect_ others to speak to us in 'our' native
tongue. This fact is actually fairly embarrassing to those of us who do not
agree with this attitude.
Coupled with the fact that many English people cannot spell to save their
own lives (a fact which disgusts me), let alone code or comment legibly, I
personally think that this is one of the best lists I know of.
As for all data attached - I agree, it certainly helps enormously (although
it never ceases to amaze me how people like Kerry or Tab still manage to
find complete solutions from even the barest info.)
As for thoroughness - I'm saying nothing as I'm usually the one who goes
into a 4-page convoluted explanation of something like a repeat loop problem
:)
And yes, I hope that all people post too - beginners and experts alike - God
knows that I've made a complete idiot of myself on this and dirGames-L
because I've only been using Lingo for 11 months and I've posted with a
long-winded answer to a simple solution which someone promptly corrects by
using a two-line function :)
Just my ha'penny's worth
