I usually stick with 600x800. Especially concerning laptops, not all
computers support 1024x768 resolution. As long as you center the stage, it
won't look bad on higher res screens.

Subject: <lingo-l> How common is 1024 X 768?
Hi List,
I realize this question is only indirectly related to Lingo, please
forgive. In the past, with most of my Director projects, I would make 2
versions, 1 at 800 X 600 and the other at 1024 X 768. I would then check
the user's settings with deskTopRect and load the best suited version. The
project I am currently working on is much more complex with many MIAWs. I
am thinking about the possibility of only having 1 version which is at 1024
X 768 and possibly using Buddy API to adjust the monitor settings ONLY if
nessecary. My target audience is Marketing folks and Brokers, almost all of
which would be using laptops. My question is, how safe do you think it
would be to only support 1024 X 768 and higher screen resolutions?
Thanx in advance,
g fritzinger
