That is a bug with Director 8 that occurs on WinNT boxes. If you need a
splash screen, use an Xtra or maybe MasterApp or something can help you
bring the projector in front of other apps.

Windows, D8: Projector uses eqaully named .bmp file for displaying a
Splashscreen. The problem is that whenever I use this splashscreen, once My
projector starts up, it is not the active application, but instead the
folder which contains the app I doubleclicked on is active (Explorer). I
can
narrow it down to that nifty app, the "Macromedia Splash Screen", because
when I disable the splashscreen, by renaming the bitmap, the problem is
gone.
