Also, as was mentioned by Buzz save and Compact can reduce the file size.  But
the method below can also do so.  From the Director 8.5 Release Notes:
Developers creating Shockwave movies may find that their .dcr file size is
reduced by 500 to 1000 bytes if they Recompile All Scripts and Save the movie
just before Publishing.
