Here's our latest problem. We've got a CD-ROM project that sends a string
(about 80 values) to a fortran engine (which installs to and runs from
their hard drive) that returns about 100 values.
The client wants to know what it would take to Shock this and put it
online. So, how do we run the engine. Here's the options we've come up with
so far, any other ideas/input would be much appreciated.
1 - allow the user to download this file and run it locally (which may have
to be zipped, unzipped, or have the user download it and change the
extension, since our client has many users on firewalls)
2 - have the results passed back to the server to have it run server side
(if Shockwave can handle this). Any suggestions?
Any other ideas?
TIA
