How about the Czech system, then? The languages is so similar--is it more 
stable than Slovak? I think there's a larger market.

It got worse with 7, when they did away with code page support.

The problem is really Director support for "foreign" code pages--i.e., 
anything not conforming to ISO 8859.1, code page 1252. Your fonts live up 
on another code page, so if you're running on an English system, you have 
no code page support from the system or Director.

You report that antialiased fonts give you a problem points in this 
direction, too. In order to show certain ANSI characters, you have to have 
the text antialiased, which tells me that Director's antialiasing code may 
be key.

It seems like it would be an easy enough thing to try--can't you take a 
projector over to a Slovak or Czech system and see if your problems 
persist? Or install Director long enough to make a projector on a Slovak 
system?
