Hi Martijn. I've been trying to do this for a long time with no success...
I've come up with an idea to upload the file to an ftp via an Xtra and then
send an instruction to the other party to download the file... The problem
with this is that it is not a peer-to-peer connection so it takes longer to
perform the whole operation (receiver has to wait for upload to the ftp to
be complete before retrieving the file).

Other idea I had was to use an ActiveX. I know a bit of Visual Basic and C++
but winsock stuff is beyond my knowledge as of now. I searched the internet
for a commercial activex and found one at
http://www.aleppo-online.com/sfiles/AlepTransDemo.htm) but the one method
that is needed to bring the "Select a file" dialog doesn't work... I tried
to contact them bout they did not answer my emails.

I know this doesn't solve your issue but it may get you thinking outside the
box... If you ever find out a way to make this possible let us all know.

Cheers

Jorge

Subject: <lingo-l> send files through multiUserServer, repost

Hi All,

does anyone know if it is possible to sind a file through the
multiUserServerXtra, and on the receiving party saving it to a file on disk
again, ie tranfer a file from one PC to another?

Do I need additional xtra's to complete the task?

Cheers,

Martijn
