i'm having a big problem that resembles the same problem that has been
being discussed a little about the quicktime paths. i am taking a
project that had already been completed and reburning it. everything
works fine on the mac side but the pc side is looking for the casts,
movie files, and audio files(all of which are in a directory one above
the .dir) using the ":" intead of a slash. now that i think about it,
it's also looking in the wrong directory not from the cd root. i gesss
that means that my mac side probablly wouldn't work either if all the
files were not already still on the mac hard drive.

here's another interesting twist. i moved all of the pc side files over
to a pc. i opened up the .dir files and saved it again and then burned
a cd and it seems to work fine on all machines.

in the past i've used the
member("whatever").filename=@movies&getpathdelimiter()&"
<mailto:).filename=@movies&getpathdelimiter()&>whatever.mov"

to get it to work for quicktime movies. can i do this for the casts
too? do i need to do this or is there an easier way? does director now
know to look for ":" or "/" between directories relative to what
machince type it's running on? help?

thanks.

paul
