Indeed for the clarity it is nesseccary to add that that no matter
what technique is used, a message window for a shockwave movie will
not show itself on the mac. however, strolling to the earlier
mentioned system path will reveal the file '1msgdump.txt' that
contains everything you 'put' from shockwave. this can become a
pretty big file hiding in your system folder if you're putting out
much..
