Please do--it sounds interesting. I'm not sure what you mean by
"dynamically fix ram to it", but I'm intrigued.
You mentioned streaming at one point--you're not thinking of recording to
RAM on the server, are you? I don't think the Audio Xtra can do that,
though Gretchen would be a better source than I. I've only used it to
record locally.

Uh-oh
>Should I be concerned with multiple shockwaves each using the audio xtra?
Be concerned. Be very concerned. On IE, since the Shockwave player is an
ActiveX control, each Shockwave movie launches an instance of the player,
and I think each instance takes up about 250K. Since your client is aiming
for the overseas market, their minimum spec machine has gotta be pretty
anemic. That's something you have to talk them out of--it just isn't
technically feasible.

Do you mean the recorded audio? I'm not sure how your code is structured,
but yes, the audio xtra will overwrite its own recording if you tell it to.
On the other hand, I don't think you can open multiple RAM buffers with the
same name.

It sounds like you've got a handle on keeping track of the audio files, at
least on the client side. I think you're going to need some serious
server-side data management, though. I don't know which is the bigger
monster--the project or the client ;-)
