you could try opening them all & just set the visibility of each 
window to activate them.  It's the opening & forgetting that disrupts 
the sound channels.

reason: all MIAWs must share the single set of 8 sound channels - 
when one MIAW gets forgotten, the sound channels get a 'stop' command 
& if it was a stage sound playing ... oh well.
