No special naming rule, no.
I've gotten them to work with something like this:
<param name = sw1 value = "http://someURL/file1.mp3";>
<embed src="mp3player.dcr" sw1 = "http://someURL/file1.mp3"; etc.></embed>
Maybe if you posted your html parameter declarations we might spot something.
