I too received a Director Player Error:
Unable to load movie playlist. Does the .ini file exist? It must contain a
section '[Movies]' with an entry 'Movie01=Pathname.dir'
It's true I didn't have an .ini file but I thought that you only needed one if
you changed the defaults - perhaps not. This error was generated off the hybrid
disc that I had burnt. The PC burnt disc didn't make error.
My projector is called "PC_START" and is made of 3 director movies -
"startmovie" which checks for QT, the 2nd is called "Handheld" which has some
opening animation with music and the 3rd is called "Samples" which had about 30
QT videos. The videos are in a folder called "Quicktimes".
Mostly the CDROM played OK in both Macs and PCs. I seemed to be getting errors
and crashes on PCs without soundcards but then this error message on a PC that
had previously worked OK
Can you suggest what my .ini file should read. The QT folder is shared and on
the PC the folder points to the "Quicktimes" folder on the Mac partition.
Also do I put the .ini file on bioh the PC and the Mac side of the hybrid disc.
I am using Toast to burn
Thanks
mm
