It sounds like you want to be able to do more than just display the contents
of a folder - perhaps you want to grab some external assets for use in
director, or want to open a file when the user clicks on it?
If that's the case, you'll need an xtra. Buddy API, filextra3, and MasterApp
all give you the ability to find the contents of folders. FileIO and the MUI
allow you to make use of dialogue boxes. Perhaps if you explained in a bit
more detail what exactly you're trying to accomplish, someone could give you
an answer that's tailored to your need.
