Yes.
Try this.
1. open a fresh director file.
2. click Insert-->ActiveX
3. Select the Windows Media Player
4. Drag the ActiveX Control Xtra unto stage.
5. from the message window...
-- Welcome to Director --
put sprite(1).open("c:\MyVideo.wmv")
You might not like how Director displays the video though.
