Genevieve - Quicktime members are always Linked Members.
It doesn't matter what you select from that popup in that Import dialog - Director always forces qt to be Linked. That popup just sets Director's 'if capable' Import mode. Text members also ignore the popup, but they get forced to be Imported. TIP/TRICK: Setting this popup in Import sets Director's drag 'n' drop Import method. For example: Select Import, set it to Linked, cancel. Drag a sound file into a cast & drop it.
