Couldn't your projector be at the highest level you'll need? That way
the start up movie (the first one in the projector) could set the
searchpaths like this:

mp = the moviepath
id = the last char of mp
set the searchpaths = [mp ,mp&"FolderA"&id, ,mp&"FolderB"&id, ,mp&"FolderC"&id]

Colin and Roy,
Thank you both for solving my problem, both your codes work so no fighting,
boys!

My projector is outside the folder called "Files", by the way. But I found that
an additional piece of code is required as follows, and then Colin, your code
works wonderfully:

on mouseUp
go to movie "@\\nameOfMovie.dir"
end

Thank you both again - you don't realise how I bashed my head against this
wall, and it's really all so simple....

Regards,
Venetia Daniolos
