Hey Herman,

It sounds like you created your rectangle using the tool palette and not as
a vector shape. Shapes created from the tool palette are not vectorShapes
and therefore don't have a fillcolor for the member. To colorize shape
members you put them on the stage and address the sprite holding them. With
sprites you can colour them using either foreColor (which uses the current
colour palette and allows you to assign values between 0 and 255) or color
(which allows use of  rgb()) If you want to colourize vector shapes then
the fillcolor does work just make sure your member was created using the
vector shape window (check out the "window" menu)
