Ram is audio only, right?

With d8.5 wouldn't it see it as a proper real file?

As for 'uncompressing/changing' it to a different file, I know that real's
format is propriatary - not sure if you can 'unconvert' it to something
else. Best I'd suggest is recording to a tape and re-digitizing that, or
if you're on a mac, look for a little extension called 'hackblaster' that
will take any audio meant for the audio outs and save it to a file. Course
you can't HEAR anything when that's happening...
