hello folks
I'm making a 2D simulation to help people learn about steering a canal boat.
I've adapted code from a number of sources, mainly a DOUG article 'Steering
with Momentum' (huge thanks are due to Pat McClellan), there's a throttle to
propel the boat, and a tiller to change its rotation. I'd like to give the
user the impression of continuously cruising and so I've got two waterway
graphics that scroll to give the impression of an unbroken waterway. I'd
appreciate some ideas about how to go about keeping the boat on screen, am I
right in thinking that I should do some sums whenever the boat seems to be
cruising off stage and use updateStage (but every enterFrame would do this
for me?) to redraw, I want to make this invisible to the user and am unsure
how to proceed. If anyone can help me navigate through this I'd be much
obliged
regards
JenBee
