Hi The concept of "Saving" is slightly out of place, what are you trying to save?
Or are we infact talking of copying (baCopyFile or baXCopy) or moving (copy & delete original), or what exactly. BuddyAPI is a tool for working whith what already is. If you want to save something, like your settings, the correct tool is either SetPref (lingo) or FileIO (Xtra). You talk about find out the hard Drive.. Are we talkin Mac or PC? If PC, then C: is always a harddrive, use the baDiskInfo to find Xtra Drives. If you're on a mac, I believe there's the baDiskList - command.
