Hey list, Im developing a presentation that downloads many elements from the internet using preLoadNetThing. Research into the on-line helps docs state that:
"Although many network operations can be active at a time, running more than four concurrent operations usually slows down performance unacceptably." Has anybody run any tests/comparisons to limiting to 4 at once, or retrieving the whole mess at once?? Not that I don't trust the Director docs (hmmm), but I know that you guys/gals usually have found better ways of doing things. Much thanks... -morgan [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo.
