He was certainly polite enough. Sometimes I overreact to "unsubscribe" 
messages. My apologies if I approached the flame level.

I do think he was trying to unsubscribe, though--the subject was "Please 
take me off the list."

That would be unfortunate. I had a colleague once, though, who kept telling 
me to get off the list because he couldn't see how I could get anything 
done. He didn't realize how valuable the information I get from the list 
is. When he flamed me, cc to my v.p., I got him fired :-)
