Thank for your 2 cents on this subject matter, I have been thinking more
on the line of a portfolio and a resume all in one. and add a button to
print out a copy of my resume. but hand a good copy of the resume and a
cd.

Fred,

Are you referring to a resume, or a portfolio? A resume is usually
just
a text document (preferably one page in length) that describes you,
your
education, and employment history. A portfolio, on the other hand, is
a
demonstration of previous work and your skill with certain
technologies.

For everyone I have ever hired, both a resume and a portfolio have
been
unstated requirements. I preferred the resume as a physical piece of
paper, and the portfolio as a computer based demonstration of some
sort
(be it a collection of links, or an interactive application).

Now, this is just my preference, but why not give prospective
employers
a professional looking paper resume, and a CD-ROM containing an
interactive Director portfolio? That's always something I look at
highly.

My 2 cents
