In your Flash movie use the getURL command in one of three ways to achieve this goal 
and "Using Director" has this covered. A simple check of the Index under "Flash" turns 
up "sending Lingo messages with". Page 396-397 of the D8 docs (not sure about D8.5, 
don't have hard copy in front of me).

One method let's you execute single Lingo statement, another let's you trigger a Lingo 
getURL handler and passes it a parameter while the third triggers an event handler of 
choice passing it a parameter. Give the docs a look and let us know if that's 
sufficient.
