I'm not sure if this ever made it to the list, so I'm going to repost it
for safety's sake.

Well Boyd, there are a few things that come to my attention in your code
here. The first is that you are doing sprite(1).call("SetTint"). This
should be callFrame as my original source provided. There is an error
in the "What's New in Director 8.5" manual.

Check out this link:

The other possibility is that your referencing in Flash is incorrect.
If SB01 is already in the root, try just doing: var tochange= new
Color(SB01);. Remember, the clip I was changing was within another
movie clip.

Finally, remember that things are case sensitive in Flash, so watch the
CaSeS.

If that doesn't work out, I'll be more than happy to take an attachment
off list and look at it.

Brian,
Thanks for the response.
I have not yet been able to get the color change working.

<SNIP>
  sprite(1).call("SetTint")

The code in Flash that refers to the clip is:

var tochange= new Color(_root._SB01);

I don't know if I am refering to the clip properly..
