Reminds me of a classified ad I tried to put in the SMH in the 1970s. I think I'd written something like 'Flatmate sought for 2-bedroom flat in Balmain. A lively female would be good'. Maybe there was a sub-culture in inner-western Sydney at the time in which 'lively' was a euphemism for something else; but for whatever reason my ad was rejected. I can't remember what alternative was accepted. I imagine 'interesting female' could be misinterpreted just as easily. (They didn't have any problem with me using the word 'female', nor with me having a gender preference). It remains one of life's many mysteries. I wonder how many of my expressions would generate 'warnings that my posting may be see as inappropriate', resulting in my postings being blocked from reaching a proportion of the target-audience, occasionally for good reasons, but mostly because of false-positive flagging. >> It’s hoped the reforms will stamp out bullying, trolling, harassment, >> stalking and abuse ... > > Perhaps Parliament House could be used for testing the proposalwith a > two year trial requiring all MPs, theior staff and all staff of > political parties with MPs required to register. Yes, that would provide a rich vein. But think how little of Paul Keating's rich oeuvre would get through. On 6/4/21 8:47 am, Liddy Nevile wrote: > Sounds to me as if Tom might be resurrecting PICS??
