Social media campaigns which undermine COVID-19 measures are a bigger threat. They could result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Australians and decimate the economy.

The use of social media as part of conventional warfare is also a threat. Recently an editorial in a Chinese government newspaper proposed attacking military bases in Australia with ballistic missiles.
