Had a call at 6am yesterday from radio 3AW to talk about security of the 2021 Census. This followed an item on page 3 of Tuesdays The Australian, where I said I did not expect the problems there were in the last Census.

Just before being interviewed on air I thought I should try the website and found the Census form quick and easy to complete.

Last time there was a denial of service attack, with a mis-configuration of hardware in response, then the system taken offline because ABS though they had been hacked. Also the government spokespersons gave poor performances. This time nothing has gone wrong so far. Perhaps it is just there are far more attractive targets than the Census? ;-)
