Is fastmail still on the recommended list?
I continue to use VentraIP for both web-sites and email.
They seem to use a wholesaler:
s221.syd2.hostingplatform.net.au
Unless it's just a domain-name they use for operations?
https://hostingplatform.net.au.siteindices.com/
https://www.dnsinspect.com/hostingplatform.net.au
VentraIP actually have support staff, and they have a clue. I've needed
it periodically (partly external problems, partly theirs, partly mine).
Lately, getting a session up to get to their control panel has been
slow; but they claim there's nothing wrong at their end. So maybe my
TransACT service is again being stuffed up by iiNet, who knows.
In short, I've been comfortable with their service for over 7 years.

Or run a web-site and get an email-service.
Not cheap, not stupidly expensive.

It's the trapping by Spam Software that can get your email.
What was the old joke "I dont worry about viruses because my software
bug will get them".

PS Thanks for tip about 6 months ago Kim. Lots of users out there who
continue to use hotmail despite:
